Spirit Mountain

Spirit Mountain, also known as Avi Kwa' Ame in Mojave, is a mountain in the Laughlin, Nevada area that is listed on the United States National Register of Historic Places and is part of the Newberry Mountains. The summit is the highest point in the Spirit Mountain Wilderness and it’s the perfect spot to get out and enjoy the beautiful weather while still social distancing. The views are spectacular and it is said to be the home of secluded, mellow and relaxing spots for the wanderer to reflect. While it’s a slight drive away from the resort, it’s well worth the drive!

Havasu National Wildlife Refuge

Havasu National Wildlife Refuge features several opportunities for visitors to connect with nature. The refuge also provides opportunities to hunt a variety of wildlife, including a waterfowl lottery hunt at Pintail Slough. Visitors can enjoy the scenery by boat, canoe or kayak. Visitors can also go fishing, or, for photographers (amateur or professional) this location is popular for capturing wildlife at home in their natural habitats.

Havasupai Indian Reservation

Havasupai Indian Reservation is home to some of the state’s most beautiful outdoor sites. The breathtaking waterfalls and isolated community within the Havasupai Indian Reservation attract thousands of visitors each year. Havasupai Falls, hidden in the Grand Canyon, have been the destination of the hikers and adventure seekers for many years. The blue-green waters are said to be a spiritual place for the Havasupai people, or Havasuw `Baaja (“the people of the blue green waters”.) They just ask that visitors be respectful of their land and water.
