Great Outdoor Destinations near Gold Canyon
The gorgeous Arizona sunshine lends itself to getting outdoors and staying active for both mental and physical well-being. For this reason, we want to share with you a list of our favorite outdoor spots here in Gold Canyon.
The Peralta Trail to Fremont Saddle is a great moderate-difficulty choice for anyone looking to spend some time in nature exploring, observing wildlife, and enjoying gorgeous views. You can even bring your 4-legged companion if you so desire, but make sure to keep them on leash, as the trail can be somewhat busy.
For those aspiring photographers and Instagram enthusiasts, Superstition Mountain is a great spot to capture shots of wildlife in Arizona. Hikers will enjoy the nearby Hieroglyphic Trail and the Lost Goldmine Trail, which intersects with the Peralta Trail. On these, photography enthusiasts will have opportunity to see seasonal wildflowers, panoramic views, and much more.
The Wave Cave Trail connects outdoor enthusiasts with breathtaking views of wildflowers, greenery, and other local fauna. Remember to wear your hiking boots if you plan to enter the cave, since the space is often very slippery, but from the inside out you can get some wonderful photos with the outline of the cave’s entrance.
For those seeking some fun closer to home our very own nine-hole golf course at Gold Canyon RV and Golf Resort has just the calming retreat. This amenity is a great way to exercise, relax, and enjoy the sunshine. Bring plenty golf balls as some of the water hazards have been known to take their share!
We hope this encourages you to get outdoors and appreciate the nature that surrounds our beautiful location.
